How does Q-NET work?

Q-NET is a community-based network coordinated by a team of committed researchers (coordination team). Participation in Q-NET activities is open and free of charge to registered members of any career level, including undergraduates.

A key activity of Q-NET are virtual workshops. The Q-NET workshops are “idea markets” profiting from an integrative network. The core part of the workshops will be topical parallel sessions. The topics are proposed by Q-NET members and the coordination team. In the topical sessions, participants develop project ideas, define standards, advance methodology, create synergies, develop proposal ideas, simply exchange, etc.

Project ideas produced in Q-NET workshops will be communicated within Q-NET and additional Q-NET members are welcome to participate if they can make a reasonable contribution. In that case, the leader of the Q-NET project group defines the working framework (goals, responsibilities and terms of participation). Q-NET projects are then implemented by project group members within the framework established by the project leader. Q-NET members are informed about Q-NET projects via the intranet and/or during the workshops.
